Situated on 32 beautiful acres, the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula not only houses but is, in and of itself, rich Missoula history. The Fort features over 20 preserved buildings and structures, rotating exhibits, and events throughout the year. Guided Family Tours and Kid Friendly Tours are available!

glacier national park

Amid 1,583 square miles of breathtaking wilderness area in Montana's Rocky Mountains, you'll find Glacier National Park. Enjoy backpacking, camping, cycling, more than 700 miles of hiking trails, or just take in the beauty by driving the mountainous Going-to-the-Sun Road. An incredible family-friendly experience you shouldn't miss!

Featuring works by contemporary Montana artists, as well as ever-changing exhibits of national & international art, the Missoula Art Museum is an opportunity to observe and absorb unique human expression. Plus, admission is free!

montana adventure shuttle

Welcome aboard the Montana Adventure Shuttle! This charter provides group travel for up to 11 passengers for sight-seeing and other adventure tours (including Glacier Park!), airport shuttling, and basic in-town or out-of-town shuttling to residents and visitors of the area. Passengers may enjoy a designed tour, or present their own itinerary.

The Museum's mission: "to preserve for future generations, the legends, lore and historical legacy of pilots and other individuals whose pioneering aviation exploits helped bring America’s Rocky Mountain West into the Air Age." The Museum is typically open 10 AM - 4 PM daily, from Memorial Day Weekend through Mid-September - but you can always call to schedule an off-season tour!

national bison range

Originally established in 1908, the National Bison Range has preserved the species for over 100 years! The range is home to more than just bison, however, and is an incredible experience the whole family can enjoy. Make sure to check their website for updates on Range and Visitor Center operating hours, as well as current fees/pass information.

rocky mountain elk foundation

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation was founded in 1984 by four hunters from Troy, Montana. The Visitor Center is more not just a museum; it’s an experience that reveals the beauty, diversity and importance of elk country across North America. Open year-round with free admission!

smokejumper visitor center

Missoula is home to the largest Smokejumper center in the country. After a free tour of the facility and learning about the demanding and important job of smokejumping, be sure to visit the gift shop and/or museum, which features a fire lookout tower originally built in 1930.

Don't let the name deceive you: Snowbowl isn't ONLY for winter fun. Sure, it's one of the best places to go so you can hit the fresh powder, but they also offer a ton of summer activities, events, hiking opportunities, and even a zip line!

Shopping, movies, breweries, outdoors & more!

If you're not up for a tour or a drive but still want to enjoy some of what Missoula has to offer, don't worry! You're covered. Downtown is filled with numerous small businesses and boutiques; Southgate Mall is centrally located and contains one of two movie theaters - but the only dine-in experience - in Missoula. For the craft beer connoisseur, there are 8 breweries in Missoula and several more in close proximity. You can even set up a brewery tour!
